Birthplace and language diversity within Asian and Latino ethnic groups and panethnic categories. Diversity is measured by the Simpson diversity index, which gives the probability that two randomly selected members of the group do not share the same birthplace/language. Results are based on alternate partners from each data source. Diversity among South Asians is only measurable in the later data source.
