Health care reform is once again rising toward the top of the nation's political and policy agendas. Informed by three recent works on the subject, this review essay examines the recent history and reform climate as the country runs full throttle into the renewed debate. The central question is: will something not only, finally, succeed politically, but will it also be sensible substantively?
