The year 2023 marks the three hundredth anniversary of the birth of Adam Smith. No author is more significant in the development of economics. And no author has received as much scholarly attention in the pages of History of Political Economy. To commemorate Smith's birthday, we have produced a bibliography of the more than one hundred articles on Smith that have been published in HOPE. Early and late, Smith has been well represented in the journal and no doubt will continue to be as the next generation of Smith scholars, like those before them, continue to find rich and enduring questions to explore in his work.
