In this volume, Ostrom scholars Jayme Lemke and Vlad Tarko collaborate to edit a collection that explores the contributions of the “Bloomington school” of political economy to social science and policy studies. Tarko is the author of an intellectual biography of Elinor Ostrom (Tarko 2017). Lemke has written and lectured on Elinor Ostrom and her work on polycentric governance (e.g., Boettke, Lemke, and Palagashvili 2013).

The volume is made up of ten chapters, one of which is the introduction by Lemke and Tarko. Contributing authors include Paul Dragoş Aligică, a student of both Elinor and Vincent Ostrom, and Michael D. McGinnis, the Ostroms' longtime colleague, friend, and coauthor.
